Country Heir Horse Shows

Hello Everyone And Welcome To The 2008 Country Heir Horse Shows!!! Once again we have the Kentucky Horse Park to ourselves!! This means almost everyone will be in permanent stalls. This year we are limiting the stall reservations in order to keep the length of our show days comfortable for all! Be sure to make your reservations early! The Festival of the Blue Grass will be going on the first week so camper spots at the Campground will not be available. If you wish to get a spot in the show grounds you need to send a check early to pay in full along with your completed entry blank. When we receive your check we will mail back a permit for your camper window and we will also assign a specific spot for you. It will be labeled and waiting upon your arrival, see our stabling manager before parking. It will pay for you to get your complete entry blank in early for the best chance at a preferred camper spot and permanent stabling. The Horse Show Office will be located in the permanent show office building.

New this year we will be hosting a $15,000 USHJA Hunter Derby on Saturday evening, June 14th, to benefit brain tumor research. Many exciting plans are still in the making at this printing but are guaranteed to include FOOD, entertainment, and possibly an exciting auction – all to benefit brain tumor research. Complete details will be available in the horse show office.

The Grand Prix prize money will be $40,000 in the Week I Grand Prix and $50,000 for the Week II Grand Prix. During our week II Grand Prix we will of course be having he ever popular Donkey races, complimentary dinner, and entertainment by the Modulators! We’re offering a $10,000 Welcome Prix Week I and a $15,000 Welcome Prix Week II, a $10,000 High Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic each week, a $7,500 Low Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic each week, and three Young Jumper Championship (YJC) qualifiers and three Young Jumper classes with $3000 total prize money each week. What about the Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumper riders? Hang on to your hats…we’re offering a $10,000 Children’s/AA Jumper Prix in Week II.

Let’s not forget the hunter riders. Both weeks are USEF “AA” rated to insure the highest quality of competition and the greatest number of qualifying points you can possibly earn. The best of the best will compete for “AA” points and prize money…it doesn’t get any better than this! For those of you in the ever popular Children’s and Adult Amateur Hunter divisions…how about a $10,000 Hunter Classic with a complimentary Brunch under the Stoneleigh pavilion! And again, we are offering $2000 prize money in the Intermediate Hunter section!

We hope that you’ll honor us by attending and being a part of the fun and magic that is Country Heir!
